Dormition Fast is August 1-14
In anticipation of the Great Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos, we fast for the first two weeks of August. During this time, we will pray the Paraklesis service on Aug. 3, 7, 10, 12, & 14 at 5:30pm. We will also celebrate the Great Feast of the Lord's Transfiguration with Matins and Liturgy at 5pm on August 5. We celebrate Dormition on August 15 with Matins and Liturgy at 9am.
“How to Be an Orthodox Christian” Class Series Begins September 12
On Saturdays at 3pm beginning September 12, we will be watching Deacon Seraphim Rohlin’s video series “How to Be an Orthodox Christian” and discussing the contents. This class is for all newcomers, inquirers, catechumens and new members. One can attend without making any commitment to joining the Orthodox Church. All are welcome!
